Payment Terms

  • An estimate will be provided at the time of the introductory meeting or when the booking is made.
  • The full service fee is payable on or before the first day of service.
  • Payment can be made by cash or direct deposit.
  • Direct deposits must be made prior to the first day of service.
  • Cash must be paid either at the introductory meeting, or left in an agreed place at your home for us to collect on the first day of service.
  • For ongoing regular dog walking services, fees are payable on the day of each walk.
  • A non-refunable deposit will be required to secure bookings during peak periods.
  • No refunds will be given for clients returning home early.
  • Please inform us at least 1 day prior to the first day of service if you need to cancel your booking.
  • Deposits paid to secure peak period bookings are non-refundable in the event of your booking being cancelled.

  • Additional charges will apply for emergencies and unforeseen events, such as:

  • Visits to the vet - in the unlikely event that your pet requires veterinary treatment while you are away, we will take your pet to your nominated vet clinic (or the nearest vet clinic in the case of an emergency). We will also attempt to contact you immediately should this happen.
  • Food - if you do not leave us with sufficient food for the duration of the service.
  • Home emergencies, for example burst pipes, gas leaks, etc.
  • Extending your trip and requesting additional visits (please inform us at least 1 day prior to the end of the original service period)
  • Additional charges for emergencies and unforeseen events must be paid for within 3 working days of completion of the booking.

  • Key Collection / Return - If Stay At Home Pets have to make a special journey to collect or return your keys, we reserve the right to charge a key collection/return fee.

    Animals must be clean and well groomed, and free from fleas and other parasites when we commence our service.

  • All cats and dogs must be on an appropriate flea, tick & worm control treatment.
  • Where applicable, pets must have a current vaccination certificate which you must be able to provide on request, and be registered with the local council and display relevant ID tags.
  • Yards must be free of pet waste, cat litter must be refreshed, and caged animals must be fully cleaned out prior to our service commencing.
  • All food and water bowls must be cleaned prior to our service commencing.
  • We will not work in unsanitary conditions.
  • Owners must confirm that their pet has shown no previous signs of aggressive or threatening behaviour. Should a pet exhibit any such signs whilst in our care, we reserve the right to suspend the service with immediate effect. Should this happen, we will endeavour to contact you or your nominated emergency contact straight away, and responsibility for the care of your pet will revert to you or your nominated emergency contact.
  • A copy of our full terms & conditions will be provided to you as part of our service agreement at the introductory meeting.
